ANZAC Day 2014 & AGM

The desire for the RSL March Coordinators to have descendants march at the rear of the parade appears to finally come to fruition, and the form up locations have changed.

Our Originals and descendants will assemble in Castlereagh Street facing south to head onto King Street at 11.10 am. We will march as a Division under our Unit Banners and with our “Originals” .

The RSL has planned for WW2 Army Veterans to assemble at 8.30-8.45 am in Hunter Street to head onto Pitt Street facing west. Any veteran marching will be allowed one carer only. Those that cannot march will go in Land Rovers. The SES will be on hand to assist in the loading and unloading of the Originals. (see email to Ron Ferguson )

The RSL will now permit a unit banner to accompany those originals marching in the WW2 contingent.

Under this new regime, Veterans / Originals will be left to wait for the descendants to finish, however we have been informed that there will be seats at the War Memorial in Hyde Park that can be used.

Please contact the Secretary, James Waring, if you require a wheelchair for the march on 0411964095 or secretary@secondtwentieth.org.au

2014 Lunch & AGM

We’re back at Tattersalls Club, the club approached the Association and asked if we’d be interested to use their venue again. Given the associations long standing with the club, a decision was made that we would return to the club. Due to the changes in the march format, and the uncertainty of some timings the Lunch has been booked so that we can gain access to the room from 1:30-2:00pm.

Lunch will cost $100, which will include a two course meal, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and Association Membership.

The address of Tattersals Club is 181 Elizabeth Street, Sydney opposite Hyde Park.
